Naeimeh Najafizadeh manages “IEEE Supporters” section of newsletter. She is a third-year PhD candidate in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto, where she investigates decentralized coordination strategies for multi-agent robotic systems. She holds an NSERC CGS-D scholarship. Naeimeh completed her undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. She then pursued two Master degrees: one in aerospace engineering from the University of Tehran, and one from the University of Manitoba, where she served as ADCS Lead on the Iris CubeSat mission, launched in June 2023.
Her relationship with IEEE spans over six years. She first became involved with IEEE Winnipeg Section, where she volunteered for more than three years as Webmaster and Membership Development volunteer. In that role, she managed the section website, organized IEEE Day events, and surpassed membership retention and recruitment targets for two consecutive years. After moving to Toronto in 2023, She Joined IEEE Toronto and was recently appointed Associate Editor for the IEEE Toronto Section Newsletter. She finds IEEE communities to be a meaningful way to stay connected across disciplines and support the next generation of engineers. Outside of research, she enjoys tennis, playing guitar, and hiking.
