M. Sharif Ahmed is a Director Business Development in Siemens Canada Limited. Sharif has completed his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University in Convallis, Oregon, United States of America in 1982. He became of Member of IEEE in 1980 and is now a Senior Member of IEEE for the last 21 years. Sharif is a Rotary Scholar and speaker in several Rotary clubs in USA and Canada. Sharif is member of IEEE committee in Southern Alberta. He has given six technical presentations in IEEE in Canada and USA. Sharif is a regular participant in IEEE T&D conference and Exposition in USA representing Siemens with demonstration for Utilities and Industrial clients. He has the expertise for Medium Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear. Sharif is a Gold Medalist from Association of scientists and Scientific Professions. He has completed multiple technical trainings in Germany and USA. Sharif was also on CSA technical Committee. Sharif started his career with AEG-Telefunken of Germany and is working throughout with multinationals. After AEG-Telefunken he worked as a Resident Manger for Pauwels International of Belgium. Then he moved to Canada and joined VA-Tech of Austria. Then he joined General Electric of USA. At present he is working with Siemens Canada as a Director Business Development. He has vast international experience in Business Development and public speaking and has visited (37) thirty-seven countries in the world. Sharif held the positions if President of NED Alumni Association Alberta and Liaison Secretary of NED Alumni Association Toronto Canada. Sharif is a founder member of NED Alumni Association of America, founder member of NED Alumni Association Canada and NED Alumni Network in USA.
