Shahab Poshtkouhi (S’10) received the B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, in 2009 and University of Toronto, Canada in 2011, respectively. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree.

His main experience is in the design of voltage regulator modules, dc-dc and dc-ac converters, integrated switched-mode power supplies (SMPS), and control systems for micro-grids. His current research interests include power electronics for photovoltaic systems, high-frequency/high-efficiency SMPS, mixed-signal IC design for power management, and micro-grid development and control.

Mr. Poshtkouhi is a three-year recipient of the National Canada Graduate Scholarship-Doctoral (CGS-D) and the Hatch Scholarship for Sustainable Energy Research.
