Biography

Samantha Murray completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Toronto in 2025, where her research focused on high power density power converters, integrated GaN circuits for power management, and in-situ device state-of-health monitoring. She previously earned her BASc in Engineering Science (2017) and MASc in Electrical Engineering (2020), also from the University of Toronto.

Currently, Samantha is an Analog IC Designer at StarIC in Toronto, where she works on designing low-power and high-precision analog-to-digital converters. Her technical interests include multi-domain system integration across analog, digital, power, and photonic circuits, with a focus on power-efficient system design.

Samantha’s volunteer contributions include her past role co-leading the student volunteer team at the IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) and her current service as a Technical Editor for the conference. She is looking forward to joining the IEEE Toronto leadership team to help continue the excellent services offered by the Section.
