Biography
Raghav is based out of Toronto and currently works as a Senior Engineer at Telus, where he is responsible for the automation of 5G and 4G Wireless Communication Networks. He is currently pursuing his Dual Executive MBA degrees from Cornell University, USA and Queen’s University, Canada. He holds a Masters degree in Telecommunications from University of Colorado Boulder, USA and a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Amrita University, India.
At IEEE, he is a Senior Member who has completed the Volunteer Leadership Training (VoLT) program, and the Mini-MBA program through Rutgers University. Most recently, he had served as the Past Region 7 Young Professionals (YP) Committee Coordinator and the Past Global YP Awards & Recognition Subcommittee Lead.
In his previous job, he engaged in Research & Development at the US Department of Commerce. His exploration on the topic of Device-to-Device Communications resulted in potentially life-saving revisions to the Public Safety communication standards and a publication in IEEE. He is also a former employee of IBM India, where he worked on Systems Engineering software development for AT&T USA.
He is a Professional Engineer in Canada and holds multiple certifications, including IEEE’s very own Wireless Communications Engineering Technologies (WCET). He is an Advanced Ham Radio operator in Canada and US. He is also a certified Advanced Operations Drone Pilot and Flight Reviewer in Canada.
