Biography

He is a senior member of IEEE and the chair of the Engineering and Human Environment Joint Chapter at IEEE-Toronto Section since 2018. He was a University Professor in Iraq, at Nahrain University, Laser Engineering Department between 1998 and 2011. He earned his Ph.D. in Power Systems from the University of Baghdad in 1996. He conducted researches in Power systems, Power Electronics, Laser applications using Image processing, free electron laser and energy conversion, in addition to teaching, supervision and consultancies. He participated in number of international conferences in Canada, Europe and in Middle East. He produced at least (20) peer reviewed papers and a chapter in a series published by Nova scientific Publisher. Also he participated in a book for Engineering Education published by Sharjah University at United Arab Emirates. He was the Associate Dean and the Head of Communication Department, at Computer Man College (Now Future University) in Sudan (2002-2004). His main research areas are power system stability, power electronics and drives, renewable energy systems development as well as Laser applications.
