Biography

Javane Rostampoor holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a focus on caching optimization in wireless networks, from the University of Toronto (2024). She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto, working on quantum-enhanced sensors. In 2023, she completed an internship with Ericsson Canada through the Mitacs Accelerate Program, where she focused on predicting non-stationary content requests.

Her research interests include caching, optimization techniques, signal processing, time-series analysis, machine learning, and quantum sensing. She has been recognized with several awards, including the University of Toronto Fellowship, the Nortel Institute Graduate Scholarship for Telecommunications, the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Graduate Scholarship, the H. W. Price Research Fellowship in Electrical Engineering, the Ewing Rae Graduate Scholarship, and the Best Presentation Award at the IEEE Leaders of Tomorrow Workshop.

Dr. Rostampoor has been an active member of IEEE since 2011 and has served as a volunteer and reviewer for various IEEE journals and conferences.
