Biography

Hadeel Mohammad is a PhD candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at the University of Toronto. She completed her BSc. degree in 2015 followed by an MSc. degree in 2017 both in ECE with high honors. She worked as a Research Associate in the Healthcare Engineering Innovation Center, Khalifa University until August 2018. Her research interests include Nanonetworks, Terahertz Intra-body Communication as well as Molecular Communication.  Hadeel received several awards for her research and academic excellence including the 2016 IEEE Pre-doctoral Research Award, the 2017 Photonics School Award from KAUST, the 2019 and 2021 Ontario Graduate Scholarships as well as the 2021 Photonics Expansion Grant. Hadeel is a member in the Nanomedicine Innovation Network Highly Qualified Personnel Program. She is also an active IEEE member and has been the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Toronto Communications Chapter since 2018.
