Abstract: Technology is giving us longer and healthier lives. However, this comes at the cost, both, in terms of the research, infrastructure, and the cost of running the devices. Often, this makes many of these technologies only suitable for the wealthy societies.
Prof Kumar will share his vision for devices and technologies for affordable healthcare. He will count the real cost of the devices, and suggest methods for making these more affordable without compromising the efficacy in improving the health outcomes. While automatic devices are often considered the demand of the wealthy, Kumar will show that these intelligent devices are the necessity for remote communities.
