Biography
Iman Firoozi is a results-driven power industry leader with over two decades of expertise spanning electrical engineering, product management, strategic execution, and business development across global markets. He currently serves as Product Marketing Manager for MV Switchgear and Digital Solutions at ABB in Toronto, bringing deep domain expertise in electrical distribution, grid automation, smart grid technologies, and the digital transformation of electrical energy systems. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles at Schneider Electric, Siemens, General Electric, and the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University, where he drove major growth initiatives, commercialized innovative technologies, and managed substantial P&L responsibilities. Iman holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Energy Management (Power) and a B.Sc. in Physics. He serves as an ABB Talent Ambassador and contributes as a member of Canadian Standards Association (CSA) committees, with primary focus areas including smart electrical distribution, grid automation, and distributed energy resources (DERs). As Chair of the IEEE PES Toronto Chapter, he is dedicated to fostering knowledge exchange, advancing professional development, and driving impactful, community-focused initiatives across the region.
