Biography
As a PhD candidate at University of Toronto in the field of Biomedical Engineering, Saba specializes in developing innovative surgical devices using additive manufacturing techniques. Her research focuses on improving surgical procedures, with a particular emphasis on enhancing patient outcomes and quality of life. In addition to her research and industry experience, she has also mentored female students as a teaching assistant and a career advisor. Her industry and volunteer experiences have given her a first-hand appreciation for the importance of innovative engineering solutions in the biomedical field and the impact of promoting gender equality.
As a member of Women in Engineering, she is committed to fostering a supportive environment that encourages women to excel in the field. Saba believes that by empowering women in engineering, a more diverse and inclusive community can be created that drives innovation and progress.
