Mohsen Zadeh has started working as a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Energy Advisory Group of DNV GL since February 2016. At his current role, he is responsible for Electrical Design/Study aspects, Independent Engineering, Owner’s Engineering and Technical Due Diligence of utility-scale Wind and Solar projects across North America. These include review of Generation Interconnection contracts and Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) design and studies, including HV/MV substation design and collection system design documents, drawings, layouts, specification, and factory acceptance/commissioning test reports. He is currently leading electrical design on a 15 MW solar project in Alberta.
Prior to DNV GL, Mohsen has worked for Kinectrics Inc. (Former Ontario Hydro Research Division) T&D Department as an Engineer/Scientist from mid 2012. He has been involved in various T&D Power System studies, failure investigation and testing (lab/field) including Renewable Energy Integration, HV/MV Substation Testing and Design, and Protection and Control Studies and Testing, mainly with IESO, Hydro One and Ontario Power Generation as clients.
Mohsen received his Master of Engineering Science in Power Systems from University of Western Ontario, and is currently doing his part-time PhD in High Voltage Insulation at University of Waterloo. His technical affiliations include membership of IEEE, IEEE PES, DER Interconnection (std 1547) and Wind/Solar Collector System Design Working Groups. Mohsen is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Provinces of Ontario and Alberta Canada.
