Biography
Farhan Pervez holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada (2023), and a M.Sc. in Communications Engineering from Technical University of Munich, Germany (2013). He has multiple years of research experience in both academia and the communications industry. His research interests include mobile communications, multimedia communications, internet of things (IoT), integrated terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, resource management, mobile edge computing (MEC), artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), optimization techniques, and quantum communications.
His time in service providers like Saudi Telecom Company, Saudi Arabia, and NTT DoCoMo Communications Laboratories Europe GMBH, Germany, delivering innovative solutions for 5G and LTE networks, showcases his ability to navigate complex technical challenges and drive innovation within the telecommunications sector.
He is a member of the IEEE Communications and Vehicular Technology Societies. He is currently serving as Vice-Chair, IEEE Vehicular Technology Toronto Chapter.
